The International Football Association Board (FIFA) published the sanctions imposed by its Disciplinary Committee for incidents that took place in the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022(TM) in the first quarter of this year.
Several teams are imposed fines and penalties for the incidents that marred the confrontations of the final stage of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers.
Senegal is fined CHF 175,000(about 180,000 US dollars) and to play a one-match without fans, and Egypt is fined CHF 6,000 for the match on March 29 in between Senegal and Egypt.
The Disciplinary Committee also decided to fine the Algerian Federation CHF 3,000 due to the incidents that marred the play-off match that Algeria lost against its Cameroonian counterpart in Blida (1-0 and 1-2 after the extension).

A fine of CHF 30,000 was also imposed on the Moroccan Football Association for the events that accompanied Morocco’s confrontation with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which the Moroccan team won 4-1 back after their 1-1 draw, and a fine of CHF 125,000 on the Congolese Federation with playing a match without masses.
Lebanon was also subjected to a large fine of CHF 100,000 while playing a match without its fans, for failing to maintain security, throwing projectiles and storming the field during the confrontation with Syria last March, and a fine of CHF 7,500 was also imposed on Syria.
Iran who qualified for the World Cup received a warning for its failure to ensure security and non-compliance with safety rules during the confrontation with Iraq on January 27.
Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, and Honduras were among the other teams that were punished with financial fines and a ban on the attendance of fans, due to various violations during the last World Cup qualifiers.
