Arabian Peninsula Horse Show
The Committee of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival announced that it has extended the Arabian Peninsula Horse Show to four days. This is due to high interest shown by the public. The show will now be held from February 2 to 5. Prior to this, it was planned only for three days.
The Arabian Peninsula Horse Show is open to straight Egyptian horses registered in any World Arabian Horse Organisation recognised studbook by the closing date of entities.
Classes will be judged by a panel of 11 judges, rotated in groups of nine throughout the classes. Judging in the classes are based on five topics namely type, head and neck, body and topline, legs, and movement.
The Championships will be judged by the panel of all judges. The first, second and third placed horses in each class will qualify for Championships leading to the selection of Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists.
Championships will be judged according to the rules for Ties and Championships and Open Method will be followed. Doping test will be carried out for all the champions (Gold, Silver, Bronze).
The Championships will be judged as follows: all the horses qualified for the championship will enter the ring and line up according to the numerical order of their catalogue numbers; the horses will be judged individually, standing and trotting; and each judge will nominate his choice for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals together at the same time, from among all the horses qualified for the championship.
The Gold Medal will be awarded to the horse with the most votes for Gold Medal Champion. In case of an equal amount of vote for Gold Medal Champion, the Gold Medal will be awarded to the horse with the highest number of championships points.
From the remaining horses: The Silver medal will be awarded to the horse with the highest of championship points. The Bronze medal will be awarded to the horse with the second highest number of championship points.
