It has been tweeted by the Indian embassy in Qatar on April 6, 2022 that Qatar has now been appointed as one of the international exam centres for the ‘National Eligibility cum Entrance Test’ (NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical courses in India. The exam is to be held on July 17, 2022.
This was action taken based on request acceptance from the National Testing Agency in order to assist the non-resident Indian students.
Along with Doha, the exams will be conducted in other cities outside India, including; Dubai, UAE; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Bangkok, Thailand; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Kathmandu, Nepal; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Kuwait City, Kuwait; Lagos, Nigeria; Manama, Bahrain; Muscat, Oman; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Sharjah, UAE and Singapore.
Furthermore, the exam will be conducted in a total of 13 languages which include; English, Hindi, Assamese, Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati, Urdu, Malayalam, Punjabi and Kannada.
In order to apply for the entrance exam, candidates will have to apply online.
